I. Statement

When subscribing to the newsletter on or submitting an application within the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme (referred to: the Programme) as a natural person (referred to: the Person) gives consent that within the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme for its implementation the personal data provided by the Person shall be handled in line with the relevant national and community laws.

The condition for subscribing for the newsletter or submitting an application within the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme is to understand and accept the present privacy policy.

III. Purpose of data management?

When subscribing to the newsletter the personal data will be used for ensuring the service provision offered by the website (sending informative newsletters).

When submitting an application the data will be used to involve the Person into the Programme, so the Person has access to the services provided by the Programme.

When visiting the website (using internet) the visitor of the page provides data about the browser used, domain name (URL), date and time of visiting as well as pages visited. This technical data is automatically collected in the IT system of the SZPO. The Controller uses this information exclusively to analyze the website and collect statistical data.

The Controller does not use the personal data for any other purpose other than mentioned above.

IV. Legal basis of data management

The data provision works on voluntary basis. Legal background is described in the relevant Hungarian national law about right of informational self-determination and freedom of Information (Az adatkezelés az információs önrendelkezési jogról és az információszabadságról szóló 2011. évi CXII. törvény 5. § (1) bekezdés a) pont).

Beneficiaries data

The Applicant is responsible for the authenticity, accuracy and solidity of the personal data provided in the application form.

VI. Time limit of personal data management

The Controller manages the personal data provided by the Person until the Person withdraws his consent but latest until 5 years after the financial closure of the Programme. Data is archived in the document storage and on the servers.

VII. Access to the personal data

The personal data provided by the Person and the technical data arisen from keeping the internet connection can accessed exclusively by the employees appointed by the Controller, whose job description includes it as a task.

The paper-based documents including the personal data shall be stored in the central document storage of SZPO with the condition that only those employees have access to them who participate in the programme implementation.

As part of data management the personal data provided may be forwarded by the Controller to those who need it to perform his/her job required by law or programme implementation. These parties (organizations or persons) are involved into the programme implementation based on relevant contracts (external assessor, experts, etc). Involved party is the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office (1077 Budapest, Wesselényi u. 20-22.) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic (Racianska 153/A P. O. Box 1, 830 03 Bratislava 33) as contributors, as well as any other organization that is responsible for audit or organization that is entitled or required by law.

We draw your attention to the fact that these involved parties have limited access to the provided personal data – for only such extent that is essential for programme implementation to achieve the objectives pursued – making sure that all relevant laws are respected. The forwarded data may not be used for any other purpose.

The Controller registers each data transfer: the time of transfer, legal basis of transfer, its addressee and the personal data handed over.

VIII. Protection of personal data

The Controller is responsible for taking all technical and organizational measures, creating rules of procedures to ensure that the relevant privacy policy rules are respected.  

During data management the Controller manages all data with maximum diligence and confidentiality, uses the data only for such extent that is absolutely necessary to reach the objectives pursued and according to the consent of the Person. The Controller prevents unauthorized access to the data with all legal measures possible.

Data stored on computers

The process and storage of the personal and technical data takes place on the own and dedicated servers of the SZPO, that is located in 1053 Budapest, Szép utca 2., and supervised 24-7.

Data handled manually

In order to ensure the security of the manually handled data the Controller takes the following measures:

  • the files are stored in a central document storage in a room that is dry, that can be closed and is equipped with fire-fighting installation;
  • the files in active, everyday use can be accessed only by dedicated employees, who after the end of working hours keep these files in closed lockers.

IX. Contact to the Controller

The Person may ask for information, correction, deleting or detention of his/her personal data, as well as may raise objections against the storage of his/her personal data through the contact information described in Paragraph 2.

X. Legal rights  of the Person

The Applicant may report or ask for investigation at the National Authority of Data Protection and Freedom of Information (1530 Budapest Pf.: 5., ugyfelszolgalat{at} or go to court based on the relevant law (Information law 22. §) in case his/her rights are violated or direct violation is suspected.

XI. Clause

The Controllers have the right to change the privacy policy. Especially when more types of personal data is required, or law makes it mandatory. The change in the privacy policy cannot allow the usage of information for other purposes than described here. Information about the change will be published 15 days before entering in force.
