LC-ST SPORTS AND LEISURE

Our project represents cooperation and cross-border service development in active and sports tourism. Shareholders of the partner companies operating in Salgótarján and Lucenec have 30 years of cooperation. Their common passion and mission is tennis.  They both have their own sports centre and association in the recreation areas of Salgótarján and Lucenec, which are twin cities. Although the project partners are in very similar situation, they did not implement a mirror project, but with the introduction of new services having synergies widened the choice of active programmes. With a common service package they are able to decrease the seasonal fluctuations, too. In Salgótarján leisure functions were strengthened with outdoor fitness, games (mini golf, table tennis, boccia, outdoor chess, skittles) and event equipment. In Lucenec especially the sports capacities were increased with new tennis courts and tennis wall. Rent and small service of bicycles, as well as outdoor grill provides new services for the Rocket Centre. Cross border impact is provided not only by complementary services, but also through the organisation of more common sports events and championships in which the partners have many years of experience.
